As the founder of Dawn Farms, Judith grows butternut, green pepper, kale, spinach, and green beans. What started as a mission to feed neighbouring homes has grown into a thriving commercial agricultural enterprise.
Judith started contributing to OneFarm Share at the beginning of 2022, initially on just 3 hectares of land. In her first few months she donated 15 tonnes of fresh produce through the initiative, and the partnership quickly proved transformative.
Through OneFarm Share’s market access, fair pricing, and logistics support, Judith expanded Dawn Farms from 3 hectares to an impressive 30 hectares of productive farmland, a tenfold increase that reflects her vision, hard work, and the structured support of the programme.
OneFarm Share opened doors that small-scale farmers rarely access on their own. Judith secured a commercial supply contract for fancy lettuce with a packhouse, establishing her credibility as a reliable commercial producer. Building on this momentum, she landed a significant commercial contract with Frimax, facilitated directly through OneFarm Share. A major milestone that has anchored Dawn Farms as a sustainable business.
Beyond commercial success, Judith remains true to her founding mission. Through her efforts, homes continue to be fed, livelihoods are sustained, and a vision for sustainable agriculture is being realised.
