Kenokatha Farms

Quinty Rabophala, owner and Managing Director of Kenokatha Farms t/a Veg and More, has built a farming enterprise that combines strong production with a deep commitment to community impact. Operating 13 hectares of land, Quinty produces onions, beetroot, butternut, and peppers, while sharing excess produce with farm workers and local charities. She has also distributed seeds across Limpopo to empower unemployed women to start their own backyard gardens, demonstrating a clear dedication to rural development and food security.

Since joining OneFarm Impact’s OneFarm Share programme, Quinty has acted as an aggregator, bringing together small- scale farmers from Gauteng and Limpopo. Through this partnership, Kenokatha Farms has contributed over 600 tons oF vegetables to the OneFarm Share programme, generating more than R2 million in revenue for her business.

One of the keys to Quinty’s success has been the structured market access and reliable payment terms provided by the OneFarm Share programme. “Through the cash flow generated from the sales of the produce to OneFarm Share, we were able to improve our cash flow significantly to a point that our business became bankable, ” she explained. By paying farmers within 24 hours, the programme ensures liquidity for inputs, labour, and operational expenses, enabling continuous production and reinvestment.

Quinty’s vision and leadership have recently been recognised with a major milestone. In 2026, the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development officially handed over a R5 million state-of-the-art processing facility to Kenokatha Farms. This investment, combined with market access, technical support, and structured aggregation, has positioned her business as bankable, scalable, and a model for sustainable agricultural development and job creation in Gauteng.
